Three team CSIR members exhibited at this year’s Southern African Conference of Artificial Intelligence Research (SACAIR). The event took place from 2 to 6 December at the University of Free State, in Bloemfontein.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in collaboration with the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), will unveil a new point-of-care diagnostic device to detect avian influenza (bird flu) and foot-and-mouth disease. The launch will take place on Wednesday, 4 December 2024, which will be the first day of the Science Forum 2024 (4 - 6 December 2024).
This CSIR developed, funded by TIA, will address outbreaks of these diseases on farms.
