Climate change and its environmental consequences are among the most important concerns confronting society today. As the effects of global warming worsen over time, it is critical to encourage young people to take action against climate change.
On Thursday, 8 June 2023, young candidate researchers from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will showcase research and technological innovations on climate change, sustainability and the green economy at a climate summit seminar hosted by Ranyaka Community Transformation, a national non-profit organisation, in partnership with the Nedbank Proud of my Town programme and the City of Tshwane.
The aim of the seminar is to increase public understanding of climate change challenges, inspire the youth to become active citizens in driving climate change, foster collaboration across varied sectors and the public, as well as encourage the establishment of climate change campaigns and projects across the country.
