Coralie van Reenen

CSIR senior researcher

Van Reenen’s research interests are in indoor environment quality with a focus on acoustics, particularly in healthcare and education settings, the design and maintenance of healthcare facilities, and green building design application.

Van Reenen holds an MSc in applied Science (Architecture) and a doctorate in architecture from the University of Pretoria. She joined the CSIR in 2014 and is a senior researcher contributing to the building science and technology domain. Her capabilities are in design best practice for indoor environments, considering air quality, thermal comfort, lighting and acoustics. With a background in sustainable building design, her current work focusses on energy efficiency in buildings.
