The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will host a virtual media briefing to share progress made by the organisation in advancing HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) research, development and innovation in South Africa.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will host a virtual media briefing to share progress made by the organisation in advancing HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) research, development and innovation in South Africa.
The briefing scheduled for Friday, 10 December 2021, aims to showcase some of the breakthrough innovations on HIV antibodies production using plants, and TB diagnostics and treatment. Media statement
CSIR Researchers are committed to touching lives through innovation and thus, will also share the impact of a CSIR-developed point-of-care (POC) diagnostic test for HIV and TB for the simultaneous detection of HIV and TB in blood cells, on the African health system.
