Background:
The CSIR Tennis Club has a rich history, beginning with two courts in the 1960s. Additional courts were later added and in the 1990s, the club became affiliated with the official provincial and national tennis associations.
What we do:
We play tennis – the sport considered the healthiest in the world and a sport for life.
We are a social club that caters to all players of all levels, from total beginners to highly accomplished players of all ages. Professional tennis coaching is available.
Membership is open to CSIR staff and external members.
Visitors are also welcome.
Our facilities:
The CSIR Tennis Club is located opposite the CSIR International Convention Centre, sharing the same access-controlled entrance.
We have six courts accessible 24/7, all equipped with floodlights
Additional facilities include a small kitchen, lapa, braai area and private bathrooms for members.
Join us:
We host social play every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon from approximately 14:00 until late.
Members also have the option to participate in provincial league matches, club championships, tournaments and special social events.
