2023 RAPDASA-RobMech-PRASA-CoSAAMI conference

The 2023 Rapid Product Development Association of South Africa (RAPDASA), the Robotics and Mechatronics (RobMech), the Pattern Recognition Association of South Africa (PRASA), and the Conference of South African Advanced Materials Initiative (CoSAAMI) invites researchers, academics, and industry professionals to submit high-quality original research papers on topics related to robotics, automation, mechatronics, control systems and materials science.

The conference will be held from 30 October – 2 November 2023, at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) International Convention Centre in Pretoria. The  aim of the conference is to provide a platform for exchanging ideas and presenting the latest research findings in the fields of robotics, automation, mechatronics, control systems, signal processing and related areas. The conference program will include keynote addresses, technical sessions, poster presentations and exhibitions.

The CSIR has a long history of delivering cutting-edge research and innovation in the fields of robotics, additive manufacturing, mechatronics, systems, and materials engineering, and will play a major role in the RAPDASA-RobMech-PRASA-CoSAAMI conference through sponsorship.

All submissions will be reviewed by the conference's Technical Committee and selected papers will be included in the conference proceedings, which will be published in a reputable journal.

• Deadline for submission of paper and poster abstracts: 31 March 2023
• Notification of acceptance of abstracts of papers and posters: 6 April 2023
• Deadline for submission of full papers: 2 June 2023
• Feedback on paper reviews: 1 September 2023
• Submission deadline for final revised papers: 30 September 2023
• Submission deadline for poster designs: 30 September 2023
