Our research
Our team is a strong blend of professionally registered natural scientists and environmental assessment practitioners, with extensive experience in managing large, complex environmental studies. These projects often require extensive stakeholder engagement and the coordination and integration of specialist studies across the biophysical, social and economic components of the environment. Key sectors of our research include renewable energy, infrastructure, natural resource management, mining, water, aquaculture, industrial development, and oil and gas.

Our professional registration and involvement in professional bodies
Members of the team are registered as Professional Natural Scientists (Pri.Sci.Nat) and Professional Environmental Assessment Practitioners with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa . We actively contribute to professional bodies. As of 2025, one of our team members serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association for Impact Assessment, the leading global network for best practice in impact assessment. At the national level, since 2017, the Environmental Management Services team has consistently had a representative on the National Executive Committee of the International Association for Impact Assessment South Africa, The group has conducted environmental studies in 22 African countries.
