Dick Sethole

Sethole is a senior researcher in biometrics at the CSIR. He has developed algorithms for fingerprint feature extraction, matching and classification.

Sethole is a CSIR senior researcher that leads algorithm development for the processing of biometric data. He is the technical leader on a project to develop a biometric recognition system that can be used for the accurate recognition of minors. Sethole has also conceptualised, designed and led the development of software tools for the processing of fingerprint images leading to the establishment of the CSIR fingerprint image processing library.
