Dr Bathusile Nelisiwe Masina
Masina’s research interests focus on laser applications in materials and their applications in industry.
Full Profile
Masina is a researcher in the laser-enabled manufacturing laboratory at the CSIR National Laser Centre. She has a PhD in physics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her work focuses on the additive manufacturing of titanium metal matrix composites for high-temperature and armour applications. She also investigates the spall response behaviour of additive manufactured titanium specimens under shock loading, using a velocity interferometer system for any reflector system.
