Meet Lebo Masekela, a member of the newly appointed CSIR Future Production: Mining advisory panel. Masekela is the Chief Executive Officer for the Mining Supply Forum Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and a technology entrepreneur who has worked in diverse industries, including mining, engineering, defense, rail and information technology. He has more than 30 years of experience in high technology management at middle and senior management, as well as director levels. Masekela holds a BSc in mechanical engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and is highly esteemed in the mining sector for his in-depth knowledge of mining sector equipment and technologies.  Part of his role at the CSIR will include guiding and supporting the organisation in developing technologies that are relevant to the mining industry and collaborating closely with OEM’s. The CSIR is delighted to welcome Masekela on board and looks forward to a lasting working relationship with him.
