In December 2022, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), through its Information and Cybersecurity Research Centre, was inducted into the Charter of Trust (CoT) as an Associated Partner.
The CSIR is the first organisation in Africa to be admitted into the CoT’s Associated Partner Forum (APF).
The CSIR was nominated into the CoT by Siemens AG. The nomination was followed by the CSIR giving presentations to the CoT Management Forum and, ultimately, the unanimous approval of the CSIR’s nomination.
The symposium aims to bring together ALC grant holders and partners from across Africa, and students at South African Universities who are working on various ALC-sponsored projects.
The CSIR is developing porous materials-based hydrogen storage technologies and high- pressure composite cylinders for lightweight applications.
