Mutemwa’s research interests lie in cybersecurity threat, risk and governance of information technologies in order to allow business to continue to do business even when a cybersecurity breach has occurred.
Reddy leads the digital electronic warfare group. He is responsible for product, engineering and strategy of advanced electronic warfare systems.
The CSIR’s work in optronics sensor systems focuses on video image processing, infrared electronic warfare and opto-mechatronics engineering. Mkwelo leads the group, with its strong expertise in modelling, simulation, design, prototyping, testing and evaluation of optronics systems. The CSIR addresses problems related to improved optical observation of relevant targets/phenomena, camera-based intelligence and situational awareness in operational scenarios and aircraft self-protection countermeasures.
Skosana’s research interests lie in image acquisition, processing and understanding. This covers topics from optics and mechatronics to machine learning and deep learning.
