Targeted SMMEs: South African owned Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises focusing on the energy sector or individuals pursing enterprises within the energy sector.  

Description

This program will comprise of a 1-week training course where SMMEs will be empowered with technical knowledge relating to the energy technologies envisaged to emerge from the energy transition in the country. Higher consideration will be given to females and disabled persons. Some of the topics to be covered include value chain analysis of renewable technologies and possible opportunities for enterprise development, project finance and business case development for renewable technologies and policy and regulation considerations for renewable technologies with intense focus on opportunities for SMMEs. This capacity building initiative is envisaged to train a total of 40 SMME’s over the next 4 years.

NOTE: Please note that if your application is successful, you will be required to attend the 5-day, full day course, at the CSIR in Pretoria. However, accommodation, travel and any other costs not directly related to the training session will not be covered by the facilitator.
