Skosana’s research interests lie in image acquisition, processing and understanding. This covers topics from optics and mechatronics to machine learning and deep learning.
Full Profile
Skosana holds a BEng degree in electronic engineering from the University of Pretoria. He joined the CSIR in 2014 and participated in various projects spanning image acquisition, image stabilisation, simulation, unmanned aerial vehicles, computer vision, machine learning and deep learning. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed papers, most recently, one on video encoding techniques for wireless multimedia sensor networks.
