Botha’s research interests include the goal-orientated use of mobile cellular technology in a techno-social context. More specifically, her work examines the application and use of mobile technologies for health, education, innovation and other goal-orientated interactions.
Abu-Mahfouz’s research interests lie in wireless sensor and actuator networks, low-power wide-area networks, software-defined wireless sensor networks, cognitive radio, network security, network management and sensor/actuator node development. His current focus is on smart water management systems.
Luzango’s areas of interest are research and development of innovative technology platforms and toolboxes for dynamic spectrum access and management; design, modelling and simulation of advanced wireless communications networks; satellite commutations and airborne networks theory; formulation of telecommunications policies and regulations; development of communications standards and protocols; and entrepreneurship support.
Kebede’s current research interests lie in examining and improving the electrochemical performance of nanostructured electrode materials for energy storage systems such as lithium-ion battery, sodium-ion battery and supercapacitors.
