Nonhlanhla Ramashala’s research interest is in developing affordable and high-efficiency nanomaterials with a specific focus on energy storage.

Peta de Jager is a registered professional architect and functional building infrastructure impact area manager in the Smart Places Cluster at the CSIR. Peta holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master’s degree in Applied Ethics for Professionals from the University of Witwatersrand. Her research interests include health and the built environment, engineering and design approaches to infection transmission and mitigation, climate responsive design, implementation support to government and capacity development.
Bosscha leads the industrial robotics research group, where the focus is on product development and conducting research in the fields of industrial robotics and industrial automation, developing new algorithms for robot control, perception, application of machine learning techniques, as well as planning and developing robotic systems for industrial purposes.
