The Aerospace Industry Support Initiative (AISI), an initiative of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (dtic), managed by and hosted within the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), has collaborated with the Small Enterprise Development Agency (Seda) to provide support to the marine industry. The CSIR supports the AISI with the implementation and certification of International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
On 22 and 23 June 2022, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in collaboration with the University of Cape Town’s (UCTs) Occupational Medicine Division, hosted the first training workshop titled Health risk assessments in health facilities - a focus on ventilation assessment at the UCT Health Sciences campus.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in collaboration with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), would like to invite members of the media to the Television White Space (TVWS) Ecosystem stakeholder workshop, which will be held at the CSIR International Convention Centre (ICC) on Thursday, 30 June 2022. Beneficiaries of the TVWS technology will also be attending the workshop to reflect on their experiences, successes and challenges of deploying broadband services to underserved communities.
On Monday, 27 June 2022, the Council for Scientific and Industrial research (CSIR) will host a virtual media briefing to celebrate young researchers who are championing research and technology development in the fields of water and energy.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) will be participating in the Manufacturing Indaba on 21 and 22 June 2022 at the Sandton Convention Centre to show how it is supporting local industries to entrench digital transformation and exploit 4IR technologies such as robotics, additive manufacturing, augmented reality and the application of smart sensors and photonics in areas such as health, materials engineering and parts refurbishment.

On Wednesday, 1 June 2022, the CSIR team joined the Full-Value chain Optimised Climate User-centric Services for Southern Africa (FOCUS-Africa) workshop on climate services for food and water security. The main objective of the three-day workshop, which took place in Pretoria, was to get a better understanding of the local needs and requirements for related case studies in food and water security.
