Ombinda-Lemboumba’s research focuses on developing optical technologies to image and manipulate biological samples. These technologies include building a laser beam optical trapping/sorting system which will allow noise-free single-cell analysis via Raman Spectroscopy to interrogate the molecular content of different cytoplasmic regions of live HIV-1 infected cells to provide new data on HIV-1 pathogenesis for applications in point-of-care diagnostics.
Dr Shingirirai Mutanga’s research interests lie in modelling and understanding global commons, with a special focus on water, food, energy ecosystems nexus and climate change.
Goolab’s area of interest is innovative therapeutics in gene therapy aimed at preventing diseases and establishing disease models designed to improve human health.
Pillai’s current research interest is to develop functional nanostructured materials and polymer composites for cosmetic and active food packaging applications.
